REJECTION
I got rejected from one of my practicum sites and it feels aight. here’s a recap.
Dear Mr. Lovenerd,
Thank you for your application for the 2012-2013 practicum year. Due to the overwhelming number of applicants, we are not able to offer interviews to many fine applicants such as yourself.
Reflection:
Zen and the art of motorcycle repair was rejected 121 times before it was published, Stephen King’s first book, Carrie was rejected 30 times and he threw it away. It only got published because his wife fished it from the trash and kept sending it in. I’m a sensitive guy but have learned that I can’t let rejection weigh on me, or at least that it doesn’t need to weigh on me if I don’t want it to.
